Background: I graduated from an American University with a BA in Environmental and Sustainability Studies. I am very interested in the intersection of energy policy and climate, and the opportunities within the electric industry to enhance environmental sustainability and cut greenhouse gas emissions, i.e. implementing more renewables and smart technologies. I’m not an engineer, however, I’m mostly interested in the policy side, and how to ensure that these necessary advancements are made as quickly, fairly, and with the most benefits as possible.

Why You Would Like to Join The Scheme / What You Hope To Get Out Of The Scheme: To just come out with it, I’m looking for a mentor who can help me find a career pathway to more meaningful work. After graduating I accepted my current position as a program coordinator for a small energy workforce development non-profit. I’ve enjoyed my experience, as it’s been an opportunity to learn more about the industry, but I’d like to take on a role with more responsibilities that are more related to my interests. I’m also considering different grad school programs, but I’m nervous about selecting a path as it may determine the kind of work I do for the next 3-5 years.
