Background: My background includes having a human geography degree from the University of Nottingham, where I was involved with the university magazine publishing articles on social activism and sustainable fashion. My favourite modules were Geographies of Fashion and Geographies of Migration, which covered highly contemporary topics covering the physical and theoretical movement of people and commodities across the globe.

I have worked for the environmental sustainability charity 'Trust for Sustainable Living', involved in the International Essay Competition where children from all over the world submit essays addressed to the UN Secretary-General about various SDG themes, as well as various other charitable volunteering experiences.

I have applied my interest in climate to my professional career in finance. During my internship at Mazars Financial Planning, my mentor at the time tasked me with writing an article on the importance of ESG in asset management. In my current position as a BDE at a FinTech company, my passion for climate-related incentives such as the Net-Zero commitment has been recognised, leading to being asked to write an article on how financial services must stress the importance of Climate Risk disclosure.

Why You Would Like to Join The Scheme / What You Hope To Get Out Of The Scheme: I would like to join the scheme because I am just starting my career journey and believe that learning from collaboration is the most valuable way of building professional relationships and increasing my sector knowledge. I am keen to work with more climate-minded womxn, especially in the sustainable finance sector, to gain career inspiration, understand where I can learn more and understand where to apply myself most effectively. I hope to be part of a growing network of womxn that are passionate about climate and environmental justice, and have the confidence to carve out their own paths whilst bringing others up around them.
